Through our CARE: Community Action for Resilient Environments project, One Health Resilience Initiative (OHRI) is working with communities in Adamawa State to address environmental degradation and the impacts of climate-related hazards. In Lainde and Badirisa Communities of Girei, Adamawa State, Nigeria, the initiative is promoting tree planting as a nature-based solution, with plans to plant and protect at least 100 drought-resilient trees and train community champions in environmental stewardship.

OHRI is also supporting ACReSAL (Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes) in Adamawa State, contributing 200 tree seedlings to support environmental restoration, climate resilience and greener communities.

Together, we are restoring our environment, strengthening communities and taking practical action for a more climate-resilient Adamawa State.
