Nigeria's communities face mounting health and environmental risks driven by climate change, pollution, resource degradation, and emerging diseases. Women, children, and low-income groups disproportionately bear these burdens. OHRI bridges the gap between community needs, scientific evidence, and policy action ensuring resilience is built from the ground up.
We prevent disease, promote health, and help communities build a more resilient future.
We protect the health of people, animals, and environment through One Health approach.
We use evidence and local knowledge to deliver practical solutions that create impact.
We work with communities, governments, donors, and partners to strengthen systems and build sustainable resilience. We work at the intersection of public health, climate change, environmental protection, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), biodiversity, mental wellbeing, systems strengthening, and community empowerment.
